1st Edition of UWine, the Wine Festival of Perugia

Born with the aim of promoting the wine experience and encouraging responsible wine consumption, while creating an atmosphere of collective enjoyment, UWine is the Umbrian wine festival that will come to life in the heart of Perugia from September 15th to 17th, 2023.

The city center will host the event, with over thirty booths representing an equal number of indigenous wine producers, available during the weekend from Friday, September 15th, to Sunday, September 17th, from 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Piazza Italia, Carducci, and Repubblica will transform into tasting spaces with the primary goal of showcasing the region, providing an opportunity for less experienced visitors to engage with this fundamental element of the regional economy.

The booths will host a variety of producers, covering a range from natural to organic or traditional wines, without differentiation based on production quantities, from larger operations to smaller ones. Brands such as Scacciadiavoli, Famiglia Cotarella, Purgatorio, Daniele Rossi, Ernaldo Dentici, Berioli, Le Thadee, Cantina Blasi, and Tenuta Decugnano dei Barbi, among others, will be present. For a complete list, we invite you to visit the event’s Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/uwine.perugia/.

The festival will embrace a broad spectrum of experiences, offering not only wine tastings but also food, entertainment, and enjoyment, thanks to the presence of gourmet food trucks, DJs, and live musical performances. The event will be open to everyone and free of charge. However, to participate in tastings, attendees will need to purchase a ticket for €13 from the centralized ticket booths on-site, or directly online at the following link (additional pre-sale and commission costs are clearly indicated).

With the purchase of a ticket, participants will receive a personalized UWine glass, a glass holder, and five tokens, each corresponding to a tasting. The use of tokens will help control the tastings, ensuring a responsible and dignified approach in line with the rules of the historic center.

It will also be possible to purchase bottles from producers at selected shops in the city center.
